Fredrik Ydhag, born October 23, 1970, is a Swedish filmmaker and editor based in Luleå. He is the founder and owner of 4 Pause Production AB, a production company specializing in film, graphics, and communication. Ydhag has over 30 years of experience in the film industry.
Throughout his career, he has also worked as a film editor, screenwriter, and graphic designer on several Swedish and international projects, including Sara – Med allt sitt väsen (2018), Solens Son (2016), and Jag stannar tiden (2015), for which he was awarded the Edith Award for Best Editing by the Swedish Film Editors Association.
Ydhag has also worked in the public sector, notably as head of film for social media at the City of Västerås between 2010 and 2017, where he played a key role in developing the city’s video communication.
He is currently working on the upcoming documentary Min bror Ted (My Brother Ted), a personal and in-depth portrait of the musical legacy and relationship between brothers Ted and Kenneth Gärdestad.
